TADpole 10 Playground

In 2002 Highland Street Foundation Trustees sponsored a complete renovation of the playground on the Boston Common, transforming an underused 1970’s-era playground into an imaginative and safe play space for local and visiting children. Renovations included a state-of-the-art rubberized safety surface, an exciting multipurpose play structure, water features, and frog-themed statues and artwork.

The Trustees spearheaded the effort to create the playground in loving memory of her father, David J. McGrath, Jr., co-founder of the Highland Street Foundation and founder/owner of TAD Resources International (hence the TADpole Playground name). The colorful river mosaic just inside the playground’s entranceway is called David’s Place in his honor.

Today, the TADpole Playground is home to Highland Street’s popular TADpole 10 Summer Series.
